Hailey Baldwin Launches a Capsule Makeup Collection

Hailey Baldwin has just got off to a good start in the fashion industry, quickly becoming one of the world’s leading top models. Now, following in the footsteps of other equally talented and renowned supermodels, Haley Baldwin is launching a capsule makeupcollection along with Australian label ModelCo, with products due in November 2016.

Hailey Baldwin Launches a Capsule Makeup Collection with ModelCo

As reported by WWD, 19-year-old Hailey Baldwin’s exclusive makeup collection consists of 25 items with price tags ranging from 55 AUD for a contouring palette ($42 USD according to the current exchange) to 25 AUD for a lipstick (19 USD). Given the fact that the American beauty has over 7 million followers on Instagram, ModelCo couldn’t miss the chance to promote the capsule collection via a hashtag, which, of course, is already going viral: #TheBeautySquad.

As if a viral hashtag wasn’t enough to make the beauty aficionados run amok on Instagram, Baldwin just promised all of her 25-stockkeeping-items will make you look as a walking Snapchat filter (if you follow her on either Snapchat or Instagram, you already know Hailey is a huge filter-lover herself and means business when it comes to filtered selfies).

“The Hailey Baldwin for ModelCo range is all about my signature go-to beauty products. I have always loved the world of beauty and was thrilled to be given the chance to show my creativity by collaborating with a cult-cool brand like ModelCo. I feel that ModelCo has a modern, innovative approach to beauty and I love that my fans can now create my personal beauty style. My product range is affordable, accessible and combines quality and femininity for a photo-finish inspired look and feel. Think filter-esque hues, sleek packaging and premium formulas,” revealed Baldwin.

To put it in other words, the Hailey Baldwin x ModelCo makeup collection will work perfectly fine whether you are just looking for something new to revamp your beauty routine, or even something super fancy to show off when you are going for a night out with your squad.

As for the quality of the products, those who are familiar with the beauty brand know ModelCo is quickly making its way among the main beauty brands, becoming popular internationally. Ever since Shelley Barrett launched it in 2002, ModelCo has been growing especially thanks to its gorgeous color palettes and tanning products, which are one of Australia’s best-selling products (more and more customers prefer a faux tan to a yearlong sun exposure, which could damage the skin).

Barrett, who before founding and working as ModelCo’s CEO was a model agent, has tapped iconic Elle MacPherson and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley to work as ModelCo’s brand ambassadors throughout the years, and is now willing to turn her brand into a more millennial-approved kind of label, focusing not only on makeup, but fashion too.

“ModelCo is all about the no makeup makeup look, we’re all about natural glamour – I’m not a makeup artist, unlike a lot of my competitors. We’ve always said ModelCo is a fashion-based beauty brand. What we’ve done is we’ve taken a Millennial girl who is of the now and we’ve literally tailored each product to her and what she wears and what she uses,” concluded Barrett.

The Hailey Baldwin x ModelCo capsule makeup collection is going to be available at both brick-and-mortar ModelCo stores in Australian, and online at modelcocosmetics.com.

Celebrity Street Style of the Week: Natalie Alyn Lind, Mollie King, & Emma Roberts

Every week, I scour the web to find inspiring outfits on your favorite celebs and help you recreate their looks! This week, I was inspired by Natalie Alyn Lind, Mollie King, and Emma Roberts. Read on to see how you can get their looks for yourself.

Look 1: Natalie Alyn Lind's Camo Cool

Actress Natalie Alyn Lind enjoyed a day of shopping in Vancouver wearing a layered look with a pop of camouflage print.

Natalie rocked black high-waisted shorts, a white short-sleeved button-down (which she tied up into a knot) and a camo print jacket tied around her waist. She completed her look with black ankle booties and a trendy gray wide-brim hat. Natalie's outfit is great for the transition into fall with its darker color scheme and layers for shifting temperatures.

You can't go wrong with a classic black and white color palette à la Natalie's look. Pair black twill or denim shorts with a white button-down short-sleeved shirt for a simple, chic combo. Add playful edge by throwing in a print like camo, in the form of a light jacket. This camo bomber jacket is a cute piece that feels very "fall," and is great for layering. Wear it tied around your waist like Natalie for a super cool yet functional look.

For a warmer day, sandals or flats would work with the outfit, but black ankle booties will give this look an edgier feel perfect for the upcoming season. Complete the look with a gray wide-brim hat, another fall staple.

Look 2: Mollie King's Printed Palazzo Pants

Singer Mollie King was spotted out in London in an eye-catching ensemble featuring a super bold print.

Mollie wore a pair of gold and black chevron print palazzo pants, balancing out the pattern with a more understated black sleeveless top. She accessorized with a black choker necklace, one of the hottest trends of the moment, along with a delicate metal necklace and a black crossbody bag. Mollie's stylish, unique look is ideal for a night out on the town.

You will definitely stand out from the crowd in printed palazzo pants! This black and white pair features an abstract chevron print reminiscent of Mollie's, and these also double as fab beach pants. For a night out look, balance the bold print and wide-leg cut by wearing them with a simple yet chic satin camisole with a lace neckline. You can also get the look by pairing them with a black tank and bralette, as Mollie did.

Accessorize with a trendy choker necklace – this one has a more delicate chain necklace attached, perfect for emulating Mollie's look – and a black crossbody bag. Since palazzo pants tend to be long, wear them with tall wedge sandals that will help lengthen the look of your legs and allow the pants to flow as you walk.

Look 3: Emma Roberts's Patchwork Bomber Jacket

Emma Roberts ran some errands in L.A. wearing a cool, laid-back look that is awesome for the back to school season.

Bomber jackets have been trending for a while now, and the hottest bomber jackets for fall feature embroidery or patches. Emma embraced this new look, pairing her patched green bomber jacket with cropped straight-leg jeans, red high-top sneakers, and cat-eye sunglasses. The patches and Emma's bright sneakers give her functional look a playful, eye-catching twist.

To get Emma's look, start with a bomber jacket that features patches, or test your DIY skills by buying some iron-on patches and giving your current bomber jacket a fun update.

Emma wore a black bodysuit underneath her jacket, along with a pair of cropped straight-leg jeans with a raw hem. This bodysuit looks like a tank top, making it totally wearable for most occasions.

Give the ensemble another trendy touch by rocking some cool cat-eye-inspired sunglasses, and a pop of color in the form of red Chuck Taylor high tops (or any other sneakers of your choosing). Sneakers are the ultimate comfy option for walking to class or running errands, and a brightly colored pair makes a fun statement.

Underground Trends: Soft Grunge

Plaid grunge outfit

Soft Grunge: a pale, sensitive, emotional, brooding, and otherwise Tumblr #goals movement that somehow – over the past year or so – has turned fashion.

If you’ve been following along over the past month, you may have seen the last two installments in my Underground Trends series: Cutester andSeapunk. Both featured bright, eye-catching outfits and trends that verged on ridiculous. Therein lies the beauty of the internet – taking the simply silly and turning it into the simply inspirational. This week I’m taking shots at a new trend, something a little bit…softer.

Rooted in the grunge-punk movement of the ‘90s, soft grunge is the spawn of Nirvana, flannel, ripped tights, moody teenagers, and wannabe punks. It’s the grandchild of a movement that swept the nation. Or, perhaps, it’s the meek-mannered cousin.

Either way, soft grunge has made quite an impression. Girls across the internet turned Kurt Cobain, crosses, pastel hair and pixie faces into a Kate Moss-esque fashion statement. Soft grunge is all about flannels, floral patterns, platform sneakers

However fabulous the fashion, the message behind the movement is nothing short of troubling. Should negative self-talk be so blatantly glorified? Should pictures of anguished faces, bruises, half-smoked cigarettes, and angular bones be lifted up as an iconic, or even desirable, look? The ‘90s seemed to think so, but we don't.

So today I want to make it clear that we're separating the fashion from the Tumblr movement a bit. We can talk about the styles yet still aim to treat ourselves - and those with mental illnesses - with respect.

If you’re interested in the grunge look or just edging up your everyday casual, take a look at these (safe) (unique) (interesting) ways to bleed a bit of soft grunge into your wardrobe.

Look #1: Fab Flannel

Product Information: FlannelBodysuitJeansHeelsHoopsLipstick, and Cuff.

Punk it up with a pair of shredded, printed jeans and a flannel tunic. An of-the-moment black lace-up bodysuit keeps things cool for a muggy fall day. Pair it with silver hoops, red lipstick, and fun heels for a fresh, modern, comfortable look that can transition from class to night out. Subtract the flannel, add heels, and you’re good to go!

Look #2: Broken-In Boots

Product Information: SweatshirtSkirtBootsNecklaceJacket, andBralette.

Kick things up a notch with this all-black ensemble. “But wait,” some of you cry, “Denim on denim! And not even…the same color, denim on denim!” Fear not, fashion lovers: Black denim and blue denim can be worn together. Be tasteful with accessories or rock out with a leather necklace and Dr. Martens. The choice is yours: pretty sweet, or pretty stoic?

Look #3: Punk Rock Pastel

Products: ShirtSocksShoesSprinkle Crowns, Choker #1 and #2

Look pretty in pastels in these sweet ribbon heels and over-the-knee socks. Add a little spice by wearing an oversized denim shirt as a tunic. Pair two chokers (or layer on another necklace) for a fun, quirky vibe. Finish things off with black nail polish and your pastel-hued crown of choice.
